If you wish to know everything about the ahu, moai and pukao, you must visit this Museum. It is located in the northern part of the city, in the area of Tahai. This well-organized museum explains in a very good manner the history and culture of the island. In it, you will see basalt and obsidian fishing hooks, arrow tips and other weapons, the head of a moai with reconstructed fragments of the eyes, circular huts in the shape of a beehive, and the ceremonial houses of Orongo. It also has replicas of rongo-rongo boards covered with small rows of symbols similar to the hieroglyphics.
