The tour starts around 09:00 hrs. From your hotel in Hanga Roa in direction to Tahai Archaeological Complex, a ceremonial center where you will find the Ahu Vai Uri, Ahu Tahai and Aku lo Te Riku. Then we head to the ceremonial village of Orongo, ancient and magnificent city located on the western summit of Rano Kau volcano, this compound is composed of 50 elliptical houses with stone slab walls and roofing and a small square entrance square overlooking the sea. Orongo is a sacred place where the most important ceremony of the secondary period of the island took place. This was the election of the Tangata Manu (birdman), king of the year. After this, return to Hanga Roa, overall time; approximately 3.5 hours.

The tour starts around 9:30 am from your hotel in Hanga Roa, the tour will take you to the coast south-east and north-east of the island to visit the Ahu Vaihu, a temple located 10 km from Hanga Roa composed of a well-worked stone platform where you will find 8 Pukaos and 8 Moai scattered nearby. Then going through the Ahu Akahanga, formed by 4 platforms, 12 Moai, 8 Pukao. From there it is possible to appreciate one of the best preserved villages of the island. Following the trip, you arrive at Ahu Tongariki, the most amazing Ahu in the island, counting 15 huge Moais. After this we will encounter Te Pito o Te Henua, meaning in Rapanui, the world’s navel, it is a huge stone ball accompanied by smaller polished ones having magnetic properties.

Following the tour, we will arrive at Ahu Nau Nau, with 5 Moais and their respective 5 Pukao. The tour continues up to the Rano Raraku Volcano quarry, site of the Moai carving on the island. You can see nearly 400 moai in various stages of production. Finally the tour ends in the beautiful Anakena beach, also with its respective Ahu and Moais surrounded by white sand. Going back to Hanga Roa, with the last stop on Vaitea, in the middle of the island. Return to Hanga Roa town, total length 8 hours.

The tour begins around 15:00 PM from your hotel in Hanga Roa, starting with the visit to the three Ahus in Vinapu area. The first has 6 Moais that are cut down and painted red, the second has a supposedly female moai with two heads and the third, the oldest, is scattered around. The road continues towards Puna Pau quarry, an archaeological site east of Hanga Roa in a small crater where the Pukaos where carved. The tour continues to the Akivi Ahu, the first scientifically restored Ahu on the island in 1960. The platform counts seven Moais characterized as one of the few located in the center of the island with the statues face the rising sun. The journey will then take you to the cave of Te Pahu, a place used as housing and in times of conflict as temporary shelter. Return to Hanga Roa, total length 3.5 hours.

This tour will enable you know the city of Hanga Roa and its main attractions; the visit to the local craft market, where there are many representations of the Rapa Nui culture as woodcarvings and shells, the visit to the Hanga Roa Church, the market and the civic center. Then visit the Archaeological Museum, which has many historical art pieces that tell the history of the island and the Rapa Nui culture.
